We're celebrating the start of " Socktober Month " with a special workshop dedicated to dyeing wool yarn for socks! If you're passionate about knitting socks or have just finished our sock knitting course, this workshop might be what you are looking for!
During this workshop, each participant will have the opportunity to creatively dye 1 or 2 (by choice) of 400m/100g sock yarn (75% wool and 25% nylon). One skein is enough to knit a pair of socks up to size 45, and with 2 skeins, you can even knit 3 pairs of socks!
What you will learn and what you will do:
- Introduction to how to dye wool yarn (some basic theory);
- usage of special Acid Dyes for dyeing wool (instructions and preparations);
- wool dyeing techniques: speckles, variegated (gradient) effect, hand-painting, or combined techniques;
- how to fix colors using the steam dyeing method.
What you will receive at the end of this workshop:
- 1 skein of hand-dyed sock yarn or 2 skeins (each participant will choose the desired quantity)
- A beginner's guide to dyeing wool at home;
- Small surprises are included in each participant's kit.
🌿 For an optimal experience, the workshop has only 8 places available. The workshop is intended for people aged 16+
🌿Workshop duration: 3 hours (for 1 skein); up to 5 hours for 2 skeins
🌿 The workshop will take place on Str. Avram Iancu 29, Cluj-Napoca (RUNO&KA attic studio)

Cancellation and refund policy
Cancellations made at least 5 days before the workshop will receive a partial refund (30%). In case of later cancellations, the amount will not be refunded, but the cost can be transferred to a future workshop.
If the event is canceled by the organizer, the entire amount will be refunded in full.
During the workshop, photo and video materials will be taken by the organizers and will be published later for promotional purposes. Participating in this workshop implies the participant's implicit agreement to appear in these materials and to be used publicly.
