RUNO&KA | ARTISANAL KNITTING & KNITWEAR

RUNO&KA comes from the words RUNO (the Ukrainian word for wool or fleece) and KA from Kateryna - me ♡. What began in 2018 as a heartfelt, handmade project slowly grew into a small creative business built around knitting, crochet, embroidery and the joy of making things by hand.

In an attic studio in Cluj-Napoca, Romania, RUNO&KA found its place as a living creative space. Here, I host workshops, meet-ups, classes, and crafting events focused on knitting, crochet, yarn dyeing, embroidery and mending. Also, I invite other amazing local artists in my studio to hold events, where people can slow down and reconnect with slow paced crafts.

Driven by the desire to grow this sense of community, I founded The Knit Kafe Cluj Community, a space for knitting and crochet enthusiasts in Cluj-Napoca. My goal was to bring together people who share the joy of making things by hand, building friendships, and feeling part of a warm and welcoming community. Through knitting clubs, meetups, and public events, this initiative reflects exactly what I hope to cultivate through RUNO&KA - moments of relaxation, connection, and shared creativity.

Alongside these community gatherings and workshop in my studio, I also organize workshops for teambuilding, school programs, and for private events. Get in touch with me, and I’ll be happy to share my catalogue of workshops with you.
